Immunity development begins in the breeder department, where our licensed veterinarians help chicks develop maternal antibodies so they’re protected from day one. They administer only therapeutic antibiotics to sick birds to prevent suffering and flock loss, according to best practices defined by the National Chicken Council.
Our Prime Quality® division helps ensure the best nutrition for our flocks by procuring top-quality grain to feed them. Then, our feed ingredient department adds amino acids, minerals, and other micronutrients to the mix. By providing reliable access to nutrient-rich food and clean water, we help ensure our birds grow healthy, naturally.
Safety and sanitation are foundational to our operations, from our hatcheries to the housing on family farms. Environments are managed carefully for ventilation, temperature, and protection from predators. Our live operations team works closely with growers to maintain strong biosecurity measures and reduce risk at every step.
The Avian Health & Nutrition Team is focused on the health of the flocks in our system, the auditing of outcomes and best practices, and the continuous improvement of both our breeder and broiler programs.
Handling of our birds is restricted to licensed veterinarians and personnel trained in avian physiology and industry standards in humane handling.
We adhere to the animal welfare best practices of the National Chicken Council.
